Google's Suggestions box

Wishing to stop Google's menu of suggested names when I enter a name in the top right box, I've gone to Tools, Suggested Sites box, and there checked No. The names still appear. Is there something I've not done, or is there a computer error ? Help please. Gerald.

Google suggestions
Try right clicking the icon at the end of the search box and tick 'clear search history' and untick 'Show Suggestions'.
