Backdoor trojan ! Win32 RShotiiK in CS Fire Monitor
Hi I installed the CS Fire Monitor the other day and today have done a spyware scan with A-squared Free and it is telling me tha it has found a Backdoor trojan ! Win32 RShotiiK I have not quarantined the file yet as I think it must be a false positive.
Can you confirm it is a false positive. The program was downloaded from the site supplied in PCAnswers 200.

CS Fire Monitor download site
Hi John - thanks for getting in touch. We are very surpriised to here of a Trojan being downloaded as that shortened URL we supplied takes you to Softpedia which is a highly trusted download site for hundreds of popular programs. It could well be a false positive so do check with the database of your anti-virus product by going to their website. An alternative URL is direct from the creator of CS Fire Monitor at http://www.pcwintech.com/cs-fire-monitor.

Thanks for the reply Christian I think it is a false positive I change my AV from AVG to Comodo Internet Security and performed a scan and found nothing with Comodo
I will leave it as it is safe in the knowlage it was most probably a false positive.

Found your great site
Hi,
I came across your site here and I must say I'm impressed with the content and information you provide.
I found pcanswers.com through a link from techradar.uk which was sent to me from google because of an alert I had on Microsoft Outlook. I sell an Outlook plug-in that turns Outlook into a Project Management Center and I was disappointed that I missed the ability to be included in your 10 Essential Outlook Productivity boosters, but maybe next time.

Get a free speed boost
With regard to the above title, p.84,Issue 201. I have just spent an hour trying to get to:
www.brothersoft.com/ram-defrag-17272.html
but can't find it. Checked firewall, etc, etc. including MajorGeeks, CNET, etc,etc websites for the actual software, run Bing and Google searches, but found nothing????
Are you sure the printed url is correct???
